The Department of English was established in the year 1983. Since its establishment English is being taught as a language for UG programme i.e., BA & B.Com. In the interest of the students the department organizes special guest lecture on Soft Skills and personality development, Perspectives on New Texts, The importance of Listening, Speaking, Reading & Writing (LSRW) Skills in student’s life and Necessity of Communication Skills in the contemporary Job Market by inviting eminent resource persons. The department adopted Conventional as well as interactive method of teaching methods.  To make students participate in institutional social responsibility and extension activities the faculty of the department motivates the students to involve in extracurricular activities for the all round development of their personality and guides them to involve in co-curricular activities to come out of their inferiority complex.
