ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

           We are in the era of a knowledge centric society. Today the world is racing towards development. Man needs knowledge from all walks of life. The knowledge of polity is no exception to this, our department is imparting the political knowledge of the students since the commencement of the college.

          The students of the department of Political Science have come out with flying colours. Many of them successfully completed their Masters degree and are currently serving at various levels.

ESTABLISHMENT OF DEPARTMENT

          Department of Political Science has been started in 1969 Political is offered with the combination of

• History, Economics & Political Science. (HEP)
• History, Political Science Sociology.(HPS)

National Education Policy 2020 was introduced in 2021. The department has taken admission of 207 students (135 students as DSC & 72 as OEC)

• Constitution and Judicial System :-Students will get and demonstrable detailed knowledge about constitution and functioning of judicial system of several countries.
• Democracy :-Able to cope up with contemporary challengers and issues of democracy and realize present world political system.
• Relationship between politics &society :-Students wills come to know about Role and impact of politics on society and other fields.
• Political thoughts :-Get information and knowledge about different political thoughts and find solutions to political problems.
• Administration and functioning :-Get knowledge about the administration and functioning of local, state, central government.
• Forms of government of different countries :-Students will know about different forms of governments operating in different countries.
